Supports on Academic Activities

Various incentive and support schemes are also in place for the development and growth of our faculty members and staff. These include academic leave and/or financial support for qualified academic staff to attend summer training courses and programs organized by overseas institutions.  Academic staff are also entitled to apply leave for academic conferences or other academic activities.

Another valuable support scheme is the Sabbatical Leave scheme.  Eligible staff can take an extended break from their regular duties to focus on professional development. During this sabbatical period, staff can engage in activities like further education, joint research, academic exchanges, etc. to upgrade their pedagogical skills and enhance their academic capabilities.

Tuition Subsidy

Additionally, the University understands the value of higher education and offers a Tuition Subsidy scheme for staff pursuing higher degrees in the University. Through this scheme, staff are eligible to receive financial assistance towards the cost of tuition. This subsidy plays a crucial role in promoting continuous learning and growth among staff, fostering a culture of lifelong learning within the University.
