Developing new academic programs is a critical endeavor at the University. It allows us to stay at the forefront of education by offering innovative and relevant programs that address the evolving needs of our students and society. Proposing a new program involves a systematic process that ensures the program's quality, feasibility, and alignment with the University's mission and goals. It undergoes thorough planning, discussion, review, endorsement, and approval by various academic governance committees and quality assurance processes at both faculty and university levels.
Approval Progression for New Programs / Program Amendment
For detailed guidelines and procedures regarding proposing a new program, please refer to the Guidelines on New Program Application.
Additionally, the University has successfully completed institutional accreditation (IA), carried out by the UK Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) according to the Guidelines of Macao Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) in May 2022. As a result, we have been granted a status to self-regulate and offer new programs within the 14 approved scopes (as referenced in the Official Gazette of Macao) until October 10, 2029. This achievement further enhances our autonomy in offering programs to meet the dynamic demands of society.
